The guest house is located in the heart of the Highlands, ideally situated on the Great Glen Way, a perfect place to start or finish this long distance walking and cycling route. Click here to see the official site.
David can advise guests on suggested days further away from the guest house from circular drives to walks and treks. These could range from pleasant riverside strolls and beach walks through to more strenuous days out in the surrounding mountains. With over 60 Munros (Scottish Mountains over 3000’/920m) within an easy one-hour drive from the front door, Inverness is a walker’s paradise.
Scenic walks on the Isle of Skye, in Glen Affric and around the Far North can easily be done as a day trip. We can provide road atlases, guidebooks and OS maps for reference and can also offer packed lunches and drying facilities for the rare occasion that it rains in this part of the world!
There’s a lot more to the Highlands besides hill walking and touring. Experience white water rafting on the River Tay, kayaking down the Ness River, quad biking on the Black Isle, sailing and windsurfing on Loch Morlich, dog sledging near Aviemore, plus most varieties of snow sports you can think of.
