We are a five minute stroll along the River Ness to the city centre.
Inverness boasts a wide selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and tourist attractions. David or the friendly local Tourist Office can point you in the right direction of things to do.
The house is also close to the popular riverside Eden Court Theatre, the focal point of comedy, theatre and world cinema in the Highlands and The Ironworks music venue which hosts a whole range of bands and musicians throughout the year.
Inverness is an ideal touring base with many castles, museums, historic sights, distilleries and scenic attractions only a short journey away. Your essential visit to Loch Ness can be done by car, local bus or one of the local tour operators who leave from the Tourist Office just around the corner from us.
Historic places close by to visit include Cawdor and Urquhart Castles, Culloden Battlefield with the nearby Clava Cairns dating back to around 2000BC.
Boat trips on the Moray and Cromarty Firths to spot wildlife and dolphins are also very popular.
For the more energetic there are three local golf courses and the championship courses at Nairn and Dornoch are not far away. Inverness also has a first class Sports Centre with swimming and leisure pools, an ice rink, tennis and squash courts and indoor bowling.
A bit further afield Plockton and the West Coast, the Isle of Skye and the Far North can easily be visited in a day trip.
